Venture backstage into the golden age of Hollywood in this exhibition that explores the photography of Bob Willoughby. Widely recognized as a pioneerof photography in the 20th century, Willoughby was the first outside photographer invited by studios to take photos on film sets. The exhibition features photographs from the sets of seventeen iconic Hollywood films, including Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, Alfred Hitchcock on the setof Marnie, Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby, and Marilyn Monroe in Let’s Make Love.
This exhibit will be featured on the 2nd floor of San Luis Obispo Library through August 11. Presented courtesy of ExhibitsUSA and the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
Nigel Paul’s stunning wildlife photography exhibit will be display through June 30,2023. The Cambria Library is open Tuesday, Wednesday 10-6;Thursday 9-5;Friday, Saturday 10-5; and located at 1043 Main Street.
San Miguel's 6th-12th graders can submit their art, photography, comics, poetry, and short stories to the library. All submitions will be displayed in the library and selected works will be printed in a magazine in the Fall.

Arroyo Grande Library will be featuring the watercolors of local artist Mary Kopecky. Mary's art draws from the world around her, from flora to fauna. She uses watercolor to bring these things to life on the canvas.
"Fiction Addiction" is a book group for adults that
meets the first Saturday of each month. Bring your own coffee and join in the conversation about a
selected work of contemporary fiction.

Come learn about the basics of digital photography, using your cell phone or other cameras, from renowned photographer Jamie Soja. You will learn about composition, lighting, and settings to take a great photo. Jamie will show samples of his own work as well as other photographers and describe whey they are good photos.
Toward the end of the class, Jamie will take everyone outside or in the library to test out what they have learned with feedback from Jamie. Jamie recommends downloading the free Adobe Lightroom Mobile App for cell phones before the class which will allow users to change the settings in a way similar to a standard DSLR camera.
